Its wording is open-ended: snub-nosed animals — "pugs, bulldogs, boxers, Pekingese, Shih Tzu dogs, or Persian cats" — are barred from the hold, and it recommends asking your vet before any flight. If your dog is snub-nosed and over 8 kg, it must go by cargo. Since 15 July 2019 pugs, bulldogs and Boston terriers are no longer accepted by cargo either.
